Leveraging your time

Hey there epic human,

I am writing this from the mile-high club as I fly to Toronto, Canada for an expo we are doing with the Oasis team.

Part of being an Actualizer is leveraging your time to its greatest potential.

I was going to write about boundaries…but I have some inspo coming through about how to optimize travel workflow.

Learning to leverage your time is one of the core functions that will set you apart.

So here we go, let’s get it.

Here is your checklist to make sure you can optimize your travel workflows:

• Make sure all devices are 100% charged before you leave

• Of course, have your pre-trip checklist already completed

  • Passports etc

  • Life hack, save this list and use it each time adding things you might have missed

• Use the Waze app to know exactly how long it’s going to take you to get to the airport at the time you need to be there

• Schedule reviews or calls while you are in transit to the airport

• Use the time while in line for security or waiting to board to execute tasks you’ve been putting off ( I like to have a running list of these labeled “General To Do” in my phone notes so when I get into these situations I can execute quickly)

  • Payments

  • Follow up msg’s

  • Quick phone call returns

  • Random orderings

    • Supplements if they aren’t on subscriptions

• The night before make a list of how you want to use your flight time

  • For example the first 90 mins of this flight I built an investor deck & now I am spending 90 mins writing emails. The remaining time I am going to listen to a podcast and close my eyes before landing.

  • Sometimes you will need to download a file or get creative with how you are going to have access to information while flying if you don’t have wifi. I like to take pictures on my phone and then use my notes on my computer at the very least…At best, I use offline editing mode in google docs/slides.

• Download your favorite podcasts and music

The reality is when we travel it can be a fun experience…but we can also get caught scrolling on our phones or not making the best use of our time.

By planning ahead we can leverage this time to get shit done!!!

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail…

I also find flying to be a great time for creative ideas.

So don’t hesitate to plan a fun brainstorming creative block while on your travels!!!
