The 3 Pillars of Value

Hello, fellow epic human.

Today we are going to speak about one of my favorite topics…

IMPACT.

The keys to intrinsically fulfilling success lay in focusing on impact, growth, and profits.

To me, value comes from three different things in any business:

• Impact

• Growth/Learning/A sense of Mastery

• Profits

Often people ask me how I stay motivated building many different projects.

How and why do I keep going when times get challenging?

The answer is pretty simple to me (life is actually super simple, we just make it challenging).

Because I am deeply passionate about those three value points. That is where my focus lies.

Business was originally created to add genuine value to people’s lives.

Products, services, and technologies were created to enhance our lives and make humanity healthier, more advanced. To have more freedom and time to be who we are meant to be.

To work together in collaboration to ultimately create a better world for all.

Somewhere along the way though…

Our ego got into the driver’s seat. It brought with it the need to be the BEST and the yearning for validation associated with this.

And then something called greed crept in as well.

What this created was an environment where we leveraged the essence of business to make as much profit as possible.

“CEOs can get fired if they don’t produce more revenue quarter after quarter…”

While I see many benefits of this cycle because it increases innovation and efficiency, the fact is that it has created a culture that doesn’t care about the other two key points we get value from.

Impact and Growth.

Nor does this cycle often take into account humans as actual people or the sacredness of the planet we call home.

If you have a business or are starting to plan your business I highly encourage you to get hyper-connected to the impact you believe your idea is going to make in the world.

Understanding the impact and being connected to it will:

• Give you strength through the challenges

• Quickly attract aligned partnerships & opportunities

• Contribute to a better humanity

• Help you wake up motivated in the morning & fall asleep at night feeling proud

• Support you in genuine fulfillment

I believe businesses that focus on impact —before— profits will produce better products, stronger culture, and last longer.

Because it’s our remembrance of the impact our efforts are making that will transcend the inevitable hardship business will bring.

The bottom line is this: it isn’t wrong to make money. We welcome money, and we are good at making it. But if the goal is only to make money and not to create impact while doing so… I promise you, you will end up rich and unfulfilled which to me is empty.

By focusing on impact, growth, and profits I believe this is the key to actual success.
